In that year, starting at number 2780, the 300SL enjoyed an upgrade to Dunlop disc brakes on all four wheels. Our car was one of the first of 478 in total to have this significant upgrade. It also sports ‘Rudge’ rims and electronic power steering costing over £13,000 at the time! The original rims, steering wheel and steering rack have been retained. The beautiful bodywork has wonderfully straight panel work. The interior trim is lovely and has been well maintained. The engine has benefited from an overhaul in the past.
