NEW Lancia Stratos 2019 Driven: The Legend is Back!

Manifattura Automobili Torino (MAT) will unveil its revival of the iconic Lancia Stratos at the Geneva Motor Show, and getting one of the 25 units of the so-called New Stratos will be a rather expensive undertaking, according to Automotive News Europe. The model by itself will start at 500,000 euros ($618,000), but customers will also have to supply a Ferrari 430 Scuderia donor car – an estimated additional value of $108,821, according to Kelley Blue Book
MAT will take the 430 Scuderia and will slice 7.9 inches (200 millimeters) out of the Ferrari's wheelbase. A modified intake and exhaust will boost the 4.3-liter V8 to 533 horsepower (397 kilowatts) from the original 503 hp (375 kW). Additional options will allow customers to take the output as high as 600 hp (447 kW).

Here's Why 2x-WRC Champ Miki Biasion Still Drives Lanca Delta Integrales

Massimo “Miki" Biasion describes himself as a failed architect who dedicated his life to racing cars, and he has been involved with rally cars in particular for a while now. The 61-year-old remains the only Italian driver who's won the World Rally Championship (WRC) since the four-wheel drive cars took over in the early 1980s (and he took the title two years in a row no less); he drove the iconic Lancia 037s and Delta S4s during the high-performance, high-risk Group B era before enjoying a dominant period in the early years of Group A; and today his business is devoted to the restoration and upkeep of the rally cars he competed with in period. In this week’s film, we join him in Italy for a few lessons in life and Lancia. Sliding The Rally Queen / Erik Comas | Lancia Stratos

Lots of people will tell you how they feel about a car, but if it’s Érik Comas you know he’s not parroting some review he read in a magazine once upon a waiting room. He’s raced Skylines for Nismo in Japan, 911s at Le Mans, and after taking up karting as a teenager he turned his talent into a path that got him to Formula 1. He’s raced touring cars, multiple formula series, and dabbled in some rallying for good measure, but of all the incredible machines Comas has driven in his day it’s the Stratos that earns the most emotions when he gets behind the wheel. It doesn’t hurt that this is garden variety Stradale version either, and after watching Erik slide his Group 4 rally car around on wet pavement it’s not hard to imagine why this racing driver says it handles “perfectly.” See the photoshoot and read more here: https://petro.li/StratosGallery Drive Tastefully® http://Petrolicious.com

LANCIA AURELIA B24S (SPIDER) 1959 - V6 | SCC TV

Look and this incredibly pretty Lancia Aurelia B24S convertible. Worth? About 400.000 EUR. This is a 1959 Aurelia B24S convertible of which only 521 examples are made. This example is in a fully restored condition and has driven only 29 miles after the restoration. The car is very professionally restored with a lot of attention to details and originality. The sheet metal, the panel fittings and paintwork from the body are sublime, and the undercarriage is also as new! The complete engine has been overhauled also. The famous 2.5 V6 engine is equipped with two Weber 40DCL5 carburetors and a special inlet manifold from Nardi & C. That was a very rare and at the time expensive upgrade to make the car a lot faster. The car is equipped with her original so ‘Matching Numbers’ engine and can be equipped with a rare hard-top. Enjoy!

This Humble Lancia Delta Integrale Is A Beautiful Tool

Mr. Middleton is the founder and acting manager of Middleton Motor Services—an Ullenhall based full service garage established 30 years ago.
“Well, I’ll tell ya’ what. It’s 50 years on the 11th when I started my Austin apprenticeship and I was into motor racing straight away a couple years later.”

Middleton has shared quite the romantic racing history with some of the all-time great drivers and motorsport mechanics. In an emotional tone, Middleton reads off a personal letter from Fangio, thanking him for his help in the inaugural opening of the Fangio Museum.

With a seemingly endless archive of Haynes repair manuals within reach, a collection of still frame memories with the likes of Sterling Moss and Fangio, and a gentleman’s humble charm, it’s clear Middleton is far more than a fan of racing—its been his entire professional life. “It’s total passion,” Middleton describing his lifelong mechanical career, “It’s something that you feel for.”

Middleton’s understated white Delta doesn’t wear the commonly tacked on rear spoiler or Martini graphics. “The Lancia Integrale is a beautiful tool because it’s very unassuming. It hasn’t got a huge amount of horsepower, it’s got four-wheel-drive, which in these type of cars is very reassuring.”

Instead, it’s clean and orderly, maintained with the upmost precision. Maintained in the only mentality this veteran serviceman knows how to, “Everybody can make something look good, but it’s what’s underneath the paints that counts.”
